Step 1: Your Consultation
It all begins with a warm conversation. During your consultation, we’ll talk about your vision — your favourite colours, the mood you love, and the little details that make your family special. I’ll help you decide whether you’d prefer a studio session in Winnipeg or a beautiful outdoor location that reflects your personality.
You’ll also have access to my exclusive studio wardrobe, featuring carefully curated maternity gowns, wraps, and newborn accessories to help you feel completely at ease and camera-ready.
Step 2: The Session
On your session day, everything is taken care of. Whether you’re celebrating your pregnancy glow or capturing your baby’s first days, the session will move at your pace — gentle, unhurried, and baby-led.
My studio is kept warm and calm, with soft lighting, natural textures, and peaceful music to help everyone feel relaxed. For newborn sessions, safety is always my top priority. I guide every pose with expert care, ensuring your little one is comfortable and secure throughout.
Step 3: The Reveal & Artwork
After your session, your images will be loaded into a password protected online gallery where you’ll see your photographs for the first time — a truly emotional moment for many parents. There you will select your favourite portraits and decide how you’d love to display them.
Choose from custom-designed albums, fine art prints, or wall art collections crafted to last a lifetime. Each piece is professionally produced using archival materials, ensuring your family’s memories remain vivid and beautiful for generations.

Maternity
Let us make you feel like a Queen for the day! Inquire about the complete range of custom maternity sessions we offer- the gamut runs from a quick Mini-Maternity session, to our full length Luxe session which includes All The Everything, including makeup and hair styling experience.
Our Client Wardrobe is extensive, with numerous Maternity gowns, bodysuits and flowy fabrics to fit every Body Size. All you need to bring is yourself, and possibly a strapless bra with matching underwear.
Ideal timing for maternity session depends on you and your belly, but typically between 28-34 weeks. Prior to this, your belly may not be visible enough. After this time frame there can be water retention causing puffiness and swelling. Some of the floor poses can also be a bit tricky in your last month due to a shift in your center of gravity. That being said, if you are feeling great, we can absolutely make it work any time!
Newborns
Karen is widely recognized for her tender approach to newborn portraits. Newborn photo sessions are best done before the baby is 10 days of age. The younger they are, the better they cooperate! Please note that these sessions tend to last a minimum of 2.5 hours, as time must be allowed for feeding, changing and sleeping!
Cake Smash and Milestones
So many fun ways to capture the special moments in your child's first year ( and beyond )! The best ages for these sessions are Sitting Age ( 6-9 months ) Cake Smash ( 12 months ) and yearly toddler sessions.

We have a beautiful product line to help you enjoy your images to their fullest! Custom Birth Announcements, Christmas Cards and Albums will be professionally created with a practiced eye. Please note, up to 3 revisions are complimentary. Thereafter a re-design fee will apply.
